Founder’s Blog: Year One
By Sandra Baldino, Founder |
Inspiring people to get involved through stories about the benevolent organizations and individuals in our community has always been our mission. I’m thrilled to look back at our progress since we first launched Generocity.org last July 1st, and I am truly grateful for those who believed and supported us from the very beginning.
Your feedback has been so critical to our success to date, and as a result we’ve revamped our website, overhauled our online fundraiser, allowed organizations to take control of their own profiles, and more. We’ve extended our reach to the community through monthly meet ups, a weekly newsletter, and communicating daily with our readers through social media.
We’re proud to be working with several local businesses and organizations, including Vanguard, TEVA, The Philadelphia Marathon, Coming of Age, The Spruce Foundation, The Philadelphia Zoo, WHYY/NewsWorks, Here’s My Chance, and doGooder.
As our second year begins to roll out, we look forward to keeping you even more informed, host unique events, and roll out our volunteer and other social good management tools.
Please continue to share your thoughts on volunteering, philanthropy and whatever you think may be impactful for this great city of ours. Email me at sandra@generocity.org or leave a comment below. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Our appreciation goes out to all of you for helping us make our first year a memorable one, and positioning us well for another amazing year ahead! As always, thanks for helping make Greater Philadelphia a more generous place to live!
