About Us

Check the site for inspiring news every day, from feel-good stories about people who make a difference to hard-hitting reporting about tough issues facing community organizations. All created by our in-house staff of writers.

We've worked hard to make giving easy. Donate directly to your favorite nonprofit with a couple of clicks—we won't charge you or the nonprofit for the transaction. We're big on the concept of microgiving, too (translation: when lots of people give small amounts to make a big difference). So whether your donation is small or large—it all matters.

Check out our cutting-edge online tools like Giving Circles and Fundraisers, where you can round up your friends to support your favorite causes. And we make record-keeping a snap with our custom-built dashboard, so you can keep track of every penny, and see who you've helped the most.

Find people with the same interests, concerns and passions. Spread the word about an amazing nonprofit among your friends. Discover like-minded people who live in your neighborhood. We're building an innovative social media platform to help you connect with people who believe in the same causes.

Easily find information on local nonprofits through our directory—the region's most exhaustive guide to organizations making a difference in our community.

Notice that your favorite nonprofit's listing is incomplete? Use our "Nudge" button to let them know what they're missing.

Once we're up and running, we'll be rolling out even more features. We'll offer volunteer opportunities across the region so you can find exactly the right fit. And we'll get socially-responsible businesses involved too, with custom-designed employee volunteer programs, and "virtual foundations," where staff donations can be matched with corporate contributions.
