Fundraising Guide

We think fundraising should be simple and fun. Here are a few ways to do just that.

Tell your story

Take this opportunity to express your personality in all its amazing glory. Lay it all out and tell us why this organization or cause is meaningful to you. Upload an image, YouTube video, and text descriptions. The more compelling your story, the more likely people will support you.

Make it significant

Think about pairing your fundraiser with an upcoming event: your birthday, a 5K run, skydiving, graduation, getting married… there are countless moments in your life you transform into.

Set a transparent goal

What would make a big impact for the nonprofit you’re supporting? If it’s something tangible like art supplies, new sports equipment, or advertising space, make that clear. It helps when people can visualize where their money is directly going. After the campaign is over, you can report back with photos to prove the success. Also, a good rule of thumb is to budget about $50 per day for every day your campaign runs. You can adjust your goal at anytime.

Spread the word

Use our custom templates to send emails to your friends and family. Import your address book, set up suggested donation amounts and share across social media to amplify your fundraiser.

Throw a party

Want to take your fundraising to the next level? Take it offline. Plan a dinner party, a happy hour, a bowling night… any excuse to have a good time and bring people together. Collect cash donations and add them to your fundraiser later or set up a laptop and allow people to donate on the spot.

Say “thanks.”

Congratulations! You’ve inspired someone to give to your campaign! That’s a big accomplishment. Now it’s time to express your gratitude. With the fundraiser dashboard you can track the progress of your campaign and see who has donated so you can thank your donors quickly.
