ACHIEVEability will be inviting groups as small as 4 to 5 volunteers and as large as 30 to 40 volunteers, to paint and rehab one of our 158 housing properties. Due to special circumstances, ACHIEVEability will have an unusually high number of vacant properties in the coming months. Vacant units mean more families on the waiting list to start their journey to self-sufficiency, higher than budgeted costs to ACHIEVEability and lost rental income. Therefore, the more volunteers that participate in #GivingTuesday, the more families we can transition into self-sufficiency.

Asian Americans United CAMPAIGN
On December 3rd, 2009, 26 Asian immigrant students were attacked both inside and directly outside of South Philadelphia High School. The students boycotted school for eight days, demanding accountability from school leadership. AAU worked with a strong and passionate team of allies to support the students. Most importantly, the students were unified, they stood strong and they didn’t back down…and a new generation of community leaders was born.
This Tuesday, Dec. 3rd, we remember the 4th anniversary of the SPHS student boycott and we also continue to develop student leadership through the Chinese Youth Organizing Project (CYOP). AAU’s youth programs develop youth to become individually, socially, and politically aware, exercise their voice and participate in active struggles for justice. Through this work, we create leaders who sustain, fight for, and give back to our communities.
On #GivingTuesdayPHL, AAU invites you to make a tax deductible donation in support of our work and the next generation of student leaders in our community.

CASA of Philadelphia County CAMPAIGN
Please donate on #GivingTuesday – December 3 – to help CASA Philadelphia raise $2,000 to provide volunteer advocacy to one abused child in Philadelphia’s foster care system. Children in foster care are often separated from everything they know – their families, friends, neighborhood and school – and are left feeling voiceless. CASA volunteers are appointed by family court judges to advocate for these children, to fight without compromise to make sure their basic rights and essential needs don’t get overlooked or ignored. We believe that every child has the right to be treated with dignity, to be safe and to thrive in the embrace of a loving family.

Center in the Park CAMPAIGN
Giving Tuesday is a national day of giving back — during the holiday giving season. After a day of giving thanks in November and several days for getting deals (BlackFriday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday), everyone can get in the true spirit of the season by giving back to our community.
Proudly in our second year of #GivingTuesday participation, CSFP is pleased to announce that our young professionals group, Young Friends of Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (YFCSFP), will host their first fundraiser on November 29th and present the proceeds to CSFP on #GivingTuesday. This holiday sets the perfect stage for YFCSFP to make its presentation by highlighting its efforts and giving our next generation of leaders a moment to shine. If you are a young professional between 21 and 40 looking for a way to give back to our city, please visit here and attend our fundraiser, the Box Social!
There are plenty of other ways to help CSFP provide more scholarship support for children in need. You can transform the life of a child forever by giving this Tuesday to CSFP. Please visit http://csfphiladelphia.org for ways to give. And remember, 100% of funds donated to CSFP go directly to mission, so all #GivingTuesday donations to CSFP will directly provide scholarship support for Philadelphia children.
Childspace CDI CAMPAIGN
Childspace CDI wants to improve overall quality of early childhood education in the Philadelphia region by providing support, training, and empowering workers through professional development, networking, and advocacy! We believe the quality of care directly correlates to the quality of jobs in child care – and if your child’s teacher is working while sick so as not to lose her job because she doesn’t have benefits, or if the person caring for your child makes less money than the person walking your dog, then your child will not receive quality care. It’s time we make the lives of our caretakers easier so that our children will be cared for, better educated, and better off down the road.
The Clay Studio CAMPAIGN
The Clay Studio will launch its year-end fundraising campaign on #GivingTuesdayPHL. This year, the Studio has set an ambitious goal to reach $15,000 in year-end contributions before we launch The Clay Studio’s 40th Anniversary on January 1, 2014.

Community Legal Services CAMPAIGN
What does “Justice” look like to you? On December 3, 2013, for Giving Tuesday, Community Legal Services wants to bring attention to what justice means. Justice could mean equality, or fairness, or just having “enough” this holiday season. It is also important to highlight injustice or inequality, or what it means to not have enough. Either way, we want to hear from you, so we can work towards equal justice for all.
Please help us by taking a photo that represents justice or injustice, and sharing it with CLS through Facebook, on twitter (@clsphila), or by e-mailing email@example.com. Family Planning Council is hard at work each and every day to ensure individuals have access to the health care they need. We carry out this work by assisting our Family Planning network in providing high-quality, affordable sexual health care to all, through our HIV Services Team’s community-based prevention work, and by championing adolescent health programs in schools and communities. In all of our work, we are driven by the fact that we believe access to quality, affordable health care is a fundamental human right.
Yet, our work is not finished. We hope you will support us this #GivingTuesdayPHL as we continue to push forward fighting attacks in Pennsylvania on access to birth control coverage, provider conscience laws that give pharmacists and physicians the right to refuse to offer options based on their personal views, and efforts to defund critical health and safety net services. Click on the “give” button at the bottom of our website.

Ways to Support Tabor on #GivingTuesdayPHL:
1. Keep a child safe on #GivingTuesdayPHL – Make a contribution towards providing children with safety items in their home. Visit www.tabor.org to learn more about our mission: keeping children safe, strengthening families and promoting independence. Give safety to a child on #GivingTuesdayPHL by making a contribution directly through our CBO page.
2. Support the Tabor Holiday Gift Program- A Gift for Every Child – The gift program is an important adjunct to the interventions that Tabor social workers do day in and day out. On one level, this is about bringing the magic of the holiday season alive for children and youth who have not had much cheer in their lives. They see the same commercials & billboards that other children see, but they are from families who live far below the poverty line and cannot afford gifts. There are also children and youth in Tabor’s care who do not come from poverty alone; they are survivors of abuse or neglect. The Tabor Holiday Gift Program is really about more than the gift; it is about providing a sense of normalcy and happiness for children and youth during the holiday season. Your contributions and support are what makes this possible. Spread cheer on #GivingTuesdayPHL by making a contribution directly through our CBO page.
