Philadelphia Reads Receives Largest Book Donation in History of the Organization

St. Joseph's Prep students collected 22,000 books during the 10 days leading up to Christmas to donate to the Book Bank, a free teacher book store operated by Philadelphia Reads. The donation is the single largest donation of books to the bank, which is staffed by volunteers and serves Philadelphia public, private, and parochial teachers.

The Philadelphia Inquirer also donated their services to the operation—they transported the books from St. Joe's Prep to the Book Bank, located at MLK High School. To donate to Philadelphia Reads, visit their website here
